our first child was born in the hospital, so a lot of things were provided for us. We had our second baby at home, and here are some of the essentials that I loved for postpartum.
- organic postpartum diapers: I hated the ones the hospital provided, and the always ones I bought with my first birth. These rael ones were great. They were so comfortable. I had two packs of 5, and that was the perfect amount
- organic pads: I purchased extra long overnights for the first few days, then switched to overnights, then regular.
- upside down peri bottle: the best postpartum invention. Definitely a necessity.
- Peri spray: this Brand is clean, and worked great.
- hemorrhoid treatment: H-HEMORRHOIDS FORMULA from amoils.com worked wonders to decrease hemorrhoids quickly.
- electrolytes: great for dehydration after labor, and to help with milk supply. Redmonds is my favorite.
- postpartum underwear: I bought these kindred bravely ones, and I love them. They are so comfortable, and not tight around your postpartum belly.
- haaka: to collect leaking milk on the opposite breast once milk comes in. I like being able to collect a bit of milk to have on hand if I have to leave baby at all.
- nipple butter: clean ingredients, and works well.
I absolutely loved our home birth experience, and having good clean products makes recovery easier.
